The Trip to Phan Thiet

From 29 to 31 Jul 2017, D&D held a vacation trip to Mui Ne, Phan Thiet for all staff. The trip not only helps the staff relaxed after hard working days but also lets the departments of the Company be more close and friendly via interesting activities and programs.

On the first day of the trip, the buses stopped at the Sailing Bay Resort at 1P.M. This is the 4-star resort built in European style laying on the wild and quiet strip of land. Rooms rent for staff are sea-view ones.

After checking in, everybody had two hours for rest prior to gathering on the seaside for team building games. Office staff and site ones were randomly divided into four teams with four interesting names: “Unrivalled”, “No Name”, “Non-stop” and “Unique”.

Games played were Make longest/ shortest/ highest queue, tug of war, Golden Egg Spy Mission, etc.

All members regardless of departments, genders eagerly played the games for their own victory. The team building games ended when rain fell and the sunset came down the seaside. Result of the games would be announced at the Gala Dinner to be held on the day 2 of the trip.

In the morning next day, all members had a free day to sightsee the resort landscape as well as had rest being ready for the activities to be taken place in the afternoon. Some member relaxed in the swimming pool, while others played with the crest on the beautiful sea.

In the afternoon the same day, the friendly soccer match between office team and site team took place with full audiences cheering on the two teams. After 75 dramatic minutes, the score was 2 – 2. The site team won 5 – 4 in 11m-shots eventually.

After the match, all members were back to the resort preparing for the Gala Dinner to be held at 7 P.M. After the opening of the Gala by the MC, a suddenness to D&D staff who had birthday in July occurred. Three members were invited to the stage to blow out candles amid the congratulations by the crowd.

The next program was most expected: performances of the teams.

Team 1 – Unrivalled started the programs by meaningful song “Come to Vietnamese people” in traditional dress – ao dai and palm-leaf conical hat.

The performance was highly appraised by the jury for showing effort and team work spirit.

The second performance is of the Team No Name with the song Countryside Spirit by two girls in the mild and charming presentation

The Team Non-stop’s performance was an interesting fashion show where dresses were made of building materials such as used cement bag, reflective strings, etc.

This was the most welcomed performance as the dresses were auctioned for the charity fund of D&D. The Board of Director of D&D bought the dresses at the price of VND5,000,000, the dresses would be kept at the History Corner of the Company.

The last performance of Team Unique was the modern dance that much excited the Gala.

The jury announced the result of the contest where Team Unrivalled came first, teams Non-stop, Unique and No Name came second, third and fourth respectively. The contest result was decided from the two parts Team Building and Gala Dinner.

On the last day, all staff took the short trip to sand hill and then said goodbye to Phan Thiet going back Sai Gon where new tasks and plans are awaiting.
